"Family Today" by Dr Krish Kandiah

Dr Krish Kandiah lives in Thame and is the founding director of Home for Good, a young charity seeking to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. He is an award winning author and broadcaster, an adopter, foster carer, activist for refugee resettlement, a theologian, and a great speaker! Men’s Breakfasts/Supper Evenings in their present form will be closing after the Supper Evening on February 8th – after more than 30 years!

This will be a sad occasion for us - but also one of thankfulness for all that has taken place over that time.

Great food, some great speakers and men coming to faith, great news !!

Men's Breakfast. It's not what you do, it's who you are by Tom Daley

Tom’s roots are in the East End of London where he lived and worked for 40 years before retiring to Thame in 2016. Alongside a working life of numerous different jobs and then a career in the building trade, Tom worked in inner city ministry for 30 years. He came to faith in Jesus at the age of eighteen into the Baptist Church and later joined the Church of England where he was Confirmed and later licenced as a Lay Reader. Tom’s call to ordination was inspired by the book Partners in Ministry by Ted Roberts about ordained ministry and working class men. Tom was ordained in 1998 and served as a curate in Tower Hamlets whilst also in full time work. In 2007 Tom gave up his building business to focus solely on ministry and moved to the neighbouring borough of Hackney to serve as ‘House for Duty’ Team Vicar in Clapton Park, a parish in the top 5% of the indices of multiple deprivation.
